December 17th, 2012

We have all been enjoying December, and I can hardly wait for Christmas this year. I hope Finnigan enjoys our family christmas celebrations with family and friends.

A still have back-blogging to do, since I waited so long in between entries. Here is a little bit of a photo dump for 8 months:

A couple of weeks ago was my nephew Jonathon's birthday, and we joined him and the rest our family for his birthday celebration at Chuck-E- Cheese's. Finnigan enjoyed the rides, but did not enjoy the noise level. I think it's because he's an only child, but he gets frightened of loud sudden noises, like a screeching child or a barking dog, (or his mommy's sneeze) and his face melts and he shakes and he cries. Poor little guy cried a couple of times that day due to the noise, but was easily comforted. Needless to say, I won't be having his first birthday party there, but he did enjoy all the rides.

It finally snowed! Just a little, and by the time we got out of sacrament it was all melted, but Finn was finally able to see snow for the first time, and he squealed in delight! It was very cute, and I wish I could have gotten it on camera! It was funny, because it's the same reaction I had when I noticed it was snowing before I went and got him up to show him through the window.

Colin's family is in town starting next weekend, and we are going to bless the baby while they are here. William was baptized this past week, he is really excited, and has been attending church regularly, and is already trying to help missionaries baptize his neighbors, and is talking about wanting to serve as a missionary. It's heart warming to see. He loves Finn, and loves to hold him and play with him, and feed him at church.

Colin and I both received new callings at church, I am teaching primary on Sundays, and Colin with be a cub master. I am excited for these new adventures, but nervous about teaching on sundays on no sleep as I work overnights on saturday night every other weekend, but I know Colin will help out if I need it and we are only needed through second hour I can be in bed by noon - which is doable.

I'll be sure to update soon, as our first christmas together as a family needs to be well documented. =)

This past year at christmastime, I was very, very pregnant. And not nearly pregnant enough all at the same time! I was already ready for pregnancy to be over with! The result was worth the misery though. I was not a good pregnant person, I should blog about THAT sometime, haha.

I'll leave you with a little holiday musical number, from the baby. He enjoys grandpa's keyboard.
