August 13, 2012

I haven't blogged in almost a month! And I don't have much of an excuse, just been spending too much time reading other blogger's stuff when ever I get any free time. On kids activities, and their adoption stories, and photography ideas. I have Finnigan's six month AND halloween shoots scheduled with two different photographers. If I find one that I really like I will be able to just re-hire her for future photo shoots on a regular basis.

Finnigan is FIVE MONTHS now.

Five Months: Baby likes to be active, baby continues to not like to sleep. He loves to flirt with the girlies. And he LOVES to eat, whatever you put by his face. But more importantly, he wants whatever Mommy and Daddy are eating, and will grab for it, then scream very loudly if we do not share!

Mommy and daddy a few weeks ago decided to go out on a date night for papaya salad, and came down with food poisioning. A first, and hopefully, LAST experience for both of us. I continued to breastfeed the baby, to prevent him from getting sick, but I got so dehydrated that it affected my milk supply by cutting it in half, and it has never come back so we have had to start supplementing formula. Sad. Face. However, I am still trying to breast feed as much as I can, because so far we haven't had an ear infection, or respiratory infection to date and I would like to keep it that way.

And is DESPERATELY trying to crawl. He want's to be mobile so bad! Often times, he just screams in frustration when he fails at it! He has been rolling around on the floor, and crawling backwards, but he is just starting to learn how to get up on his knees, and takes a few steps forward on his knees at a time before he falls over, often times on his face.

We went to a family event at a park in Des Moines, and Finnigan went on his first ride, a carousel.

We are taking our first road trip together as a family next weekend when we go to Minnesota to spend time with Colin's uncle Jay! I will blog about that soon!
