I was really excited, and did this very spontaneously without any real research. So as my husband (who is my voice of reason, and the planner and thinker in this relationship), pointed out it will likely die without producing much good because he thinks the plants will compete with each other for space and nutrients or get eaten by a bunny, or, I don't know, he went on and on, and on. =) But I have hope that it be ok. Unfounded though my hope, as many of them are, may be. I will feed it marigold and love, and hopefully it will thrive to produce some papaya salad, laap and pho for the summer! I may not live with asian's any more, but I still like to eat like one! =)
Finnigan is loving life and is a really happy boy these days. He loves to play and look around, to stand and jump. He LOVES to be outside, although we can only take short trips so he doesn't get exposed to the sun. Yesterday he sat out in his bouncer and watched Colin and I plant the garden, and this morning he just started out the window at it for at least half an hour. I think that when this kid gets older he's going to spend the majority of his time outside, which is alright by me!
We went to the mall today to pick up pictures, and we walked around a little bit with Finnigan in the moby wrap. Up until this point I used the infant wrap with him,
but now that his legs are stronger and I was confident that I could do so without dislocating a hip, we tried a new wrap. =)
There are two things I think our must haves with this baby, and that is his swing (which for this active baby, is the ONLY way I can get him to nap at home during the day), and my moby wrap. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. And so does Finn. He liked being able to sit up next to my chest and look around at everything, especially the water fountain, and the children playing at the playground. He cannot wait to get a piece of that action!
Finnigan used my shirt while laying down to pull himself up into a sitting position, and then he pulled himself in my lap onto his feet by himself. He also did a sit up from a laying down position the other day as well. He has hit every single miles stone super early. Mostly I think because he is so alert, and never naps and so he learns SO MUCH, so fast. He's not going to be a baby very much longer. =(
I am going to do my best to enjoy these moments while I can. Because he is already growing up waaaay to fast.
And finally, a video of the wiggle. This boy never stops moving!
