Sleepy baby

Yesterday Finnigan rolled over from his back onto his tummy several times, and then over again. He began rolling over around two weeks from his tummy to his back, but yesterday was the first time he went the other way. It was very fun to watch, but he stopped doing it the minute I pulled the camera out, and hasn't replicated his impression of a rolly polly since then. (Unfortunately, for his grandparents, who really wanted to see it last night).

This is an interesting but sad study. It is important to me that we raise Finnigan to be like the girl, that states, "It's 2012, you've got to leave that (prejudice) behind." Hopefully, Finn will always choose his friends by the content of their character. I am glad that my friends are all of different faiths, cultures, and skin tones and that Finn will grow up surrounded by people that love him, but look very different from him. I am also glad that Colin is so involved in interfaith activities, and also passionate about raising loving, tolerant children.

Finnigan slept through the night last night which he hasn't done for over a month. Then he woke up, ate,  and promptly fell back asleep and has been repeating that trend all day. We are on nap four, and this kid usually doesn't nap! I guess I should go try to take advantage and nap myself since I work today. But the free time to blog and clean has been too good to resist.

Here are some pictures from what little time today the baby hasn't spent asleep. He is big enough now that he can walk around his bouncer in circles and play with all of the toys. He did a complete 360 turn in the 30 minutes he played with this toy. Then he went to sleep. haha.

I also got a really cool idea from pin interest that I plan on doing for the baby when he is a little bit older, to keep him pacified when he needs to be corralled in the play pen for whatever reason: Now that looks like a good time. :)
