Five months later…...

I haven't blogged in forever! I have been engrossed in/with work and school. Mostly school. However, I am FINALLY done with my first (of six semesters) on the road to getting my MSN degree. Don't ask me what I'll use it for. My husband keeps asking me that question, and I have no idea. Seemed like a good idea, at the time. I love working as an ER nurse! I don't know that I could ever go back to being a floor nurse again. It's a good fit, and I like my new co-workers. However, in a few years when Finn is in school, I will likely not want to work evenings and weekends when he is not in school, so the degree will make me more competitive if I decide to look for, say a clinical resource nurse or something with banker hours. We will see.

Because of school, Finn has been watching a lot of TV and playing with the "gook,"(my kindle, I don't know why he calls it that) lately, which gives me a lot of mommy guilt.

Therefore, I have decided to take a break from school for the summer.  That way, I can just hang out with Finn and Colin, get some things done around the house, and study for my CEN certification.

The good thing about the gook? My kid knows most of his abcs, and spelled his first word the other day. Zoo! He loves the Zoo. =)

Finn practicing his ABCs.

Finn's Second birthday:

Finn at the Zoo.

I bought a zoo pass, and science pass in time for the summer. I also signed him up for swimming classes that start on Friday, and his grandmother signed him up for music school. Finn loves music! We are going to go to Omaha zoo, and get out to the parks and then the pool/splash pad as much as we can, while we still can. Finn LOVES slides and swings.

Finn with his grandaddy on the Keyboard:

Colin and I drove to Kansas City for the Veronica Mars movie in March. That was a lot of fun, and I have like four Veronica Mars T-shirts that I will likely never have any cause to wear again. On the down there we stopped at a Russell Stover's Chocolate outlet, which I thought would be charmingly, fresh handcrafted chocolates behind a glass case. Instead it was piles and piles of isles of packaged, manufactured chocolates you can buy in any grocery store or gas station. I was bummed, so my husband went to Stam's when we got back and bought me just that.  He's just so perfect. =)

Easter:

Finnigan didn't really grasp the forage and storage concept of easter egg hunting. Find and eat the treat, that was more his kind of game!

My last post I left feeling hopeful that a miracle would occur and I would't miscarry after all, but I did. Colin and I both believed God would provide us with a miracle, and that we would be having a baby in a couple of months, but that is not what happened. But we have been blessed with peace since it happened. Maybe the next one will stick?

If we are lucky,
